Luxury vacation on classic motor sailers
Typical Turkish wooden ships made of honey-colored pine wood are called gulets. They emerged from the work boats of fishermen and sponge divers. Their lines and external appearance are classic, but the interior design is ultra-modern - large, bright cabins with wide double beds, shower and toilet. Some of the newer models even have flat screen TVs, air conditioning and even jacuzzis in the cabins!
All gulets have a deck saloon open to the rear with a comfortable, softly upholstered round sofa across the entire width of the ship and a comfortable wooden table with chairs where meals are taken. The ships, up to 30 meters long, offer accommodation for 6 to 24 guests in luxurious master cabins and comfortable double cabins.
The decisive advantage of a gulet as a holiday ship for families with children or for a group of friends is the large amount of space on and below deck. Of course, a gulet is also ideally suited for incentive trips such as training courses, seminars or simply as a company outing!
No yacht can come close to being as comfortable as a gulet. Large sunbathing areas with mattresses on the deckhouses of the foredeck invite you to sunbathe. If it gets too warm, the "sunbathing lawn" is converted into a cool shade with a sun sail. There are windsurfers on board and a dinghy with an outboard motor.
A Turkish cook takes care of the physical well-being and spoils his guests with local specialties. The full board price includes breakfast, lunch and the extensive evening meal; Drinks are served on request at an additional cost. In addition to the cook, the crew consists of the captain and his boatswain. The captain is an experienced sailor who knows the Turkish coast like the back of his hand. At the beginning of the trip, he adjusts the route to the wishes of his guests, although wind and weather occasionally impose restrictions. The selection of the crew is an important criterion for our gulets. At least one crew member speaks English and / or German. The captain and crew are specially trained and known for their friendly, courteous and helpful nature.
Important: a gulet is not a sailing yacht. Those who want to go sailing should rather charter their own yacht, if necessary with a professional skipper. Gulet vacation is a very special, individual comfort vacation with the wonderful possibility of diving directly from the ship into the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea several times a day.
Gulets usually drive from one bay to the next under motor. Sails are only set for support or in favorable wind conditions over longer distances. The sailing area of the gulets extends from Kusadasi in the west along numerous sheltered bays to Antalya in the south.
The famous "Blue Tour" on the Turkish coast leads from Bodrum through the Gulf of Gökova with the famous Cleopatra Island, around the Cape from Knidos to Datça and via Bozburun to the destination port of Marmaris. The route is 120 nautical miles long; You should take at least a week.
Our gulet offer is suitable for everyone who does not want to drive an "off the shelf" gulet and who value a higher quality yacht with individual service. Please contact us. We will make tailor-made suggestions for a gulet tour based on your wishes and group size.
